Sattva Psychiatry is a cash-pay, out-of-network telepsychiatry practice for adults located in New York, Washington, DC, or Virginia at the time of appointment. The practice is structured for careful psychiatric evaluation, clear communication, and bounded outpatient care.

Appointment fees.
Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation
Required first step for most new patients. Used to assess diagnosis, treatment needs, safety considerations, and fit for ongoing treatment.
Follow-Up Medication Management
For established patients when ongoing treatment is appropriate. Follow-up visits focus on medication response, side effects, functioning, and treatment adjustments.
Second Opinion Consultation
One-time consultation for diagnostic clarification, medication review, or an independent psychiatric perspective on treatment direction.
The comprehensive evaluation fee covers the evaluation itself. It does not guarantee that ongoing treatment will be recommended or established.
Insurance & superbills
Payment & possible reimbursement.
Sattva Psychiatry is cash-pay and out-of-network. Payment is due at the time of service.
Credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards are accepted.
A detailed superbill is available after each appointment for patients seeking possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on your insurance plan, deductible status, out-of-network benefits, allowed amounts, and insurer policies.

New patient requests are reviewed for fit with the practice’s outpatient telepsychiatry scope.

Initial evaluation
The comprehensive evaluation is used to clarify diagnosis, treatment needs, and whether ongoing treatment is clinically appropriate.

Ongoing treatment or referral guidance
In some cases, ongoing treatment through Sattva Psychiatry may be appropriate. In other cases, a different clinician, service, or level of treatment may be a better fit.

Cancellation & Rescheduling
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice are billed at the full session fee.
Between Appointments
Administrative matters and limited prescription or pharmacy coordination may be handled outside of visits when appropriate. Clinical questions, medication changes, new symptoms, side effects, and concerns requiring medical decision-making require an appointment or a more appropriate level of treatment.
Documentation
This practice does not complete FMLA, disability, workplace or school accommodation, medical leave, emotional support animal, court, custody, or other paperwork-focused evaluations.
Controlled Substances
Controlled substances, including stimulants, benzodiazepines, Z-drugs, and other controlled medications, are not prescribed.
Clinical Scope
Sattva Psychiatry provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults in a lower-acuity outpatient telehealth setting. The practice is not designed for crisis treatment, intensive safety monitoring, addiction-focused treatment, or treatment requiring local community-based support.
Telehealth Location
Treatment is available only to patients physically located in New York, Washington, DC, or Virginia at the time of the appointment. Patients must confirm their physical location at each visit.
Emergencies
Sattva Psychiatry does not provide emergency services or crisis management. For emergencies, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For immediate mental health support, call or text 988.
